So you’re wondering “What the heck is a Toner Phoner?”. If you have a Purchasing Department, we can assure you they have been contacted by one of these guys at some point in their working life. A Toner Phoner is somebody working for a disreputable company that calls you and tricks you into purchasing toner that you probably don’t need and may never receive. It has become a big enough problem that Xerox has published an informative one page brochure entitled “Do business with toner phoners and see your invoice in livid color”.
